The storytellers series at Zenna is back, and we're kicking off this season with Maryland natives the Dead Pens.

The Dead Pens are a three piece group from Annapolis, featuring Sally McGee's mellow cello, Danah Koch's rich voice and ivory-tickling fingers, and Berlin native Ryan Abbott on guitar.

The Pens' original brand of American alt-rock has driven their debut EP Unaddressed onto both the national Americana chart(#223) and the College Radio Charts (#305). Unaddressed is available now on all streaming services as well as good ol' fashioned CDs that you can order off their website: www.thedeadpens.com.

Put your ears on their tunes, get familiar with their sounds of love, dreams, nightmares and tacos. Bring your own adult beverage to heighten your experience, but do be warned that we are not responsible for any inebriated texts you send to your ex after the performance. Don't get us wrong, we've been there, too, but it can always wait until after your morning coffee on Saturday.

The event will run you a modest $10, which you can pick up from the studio ahead of time, or pay at the door. We offer you a return-on-investment immediately in the form of warmth, love and crispy crunchy taco shell tunes.
